You’re Getting

Married!!

WELCOME

Here’s What’s Next…

You are in the middle of wedding planning, or maybe you have just begun! Wherever you’re at, you have probably already asked yourself, “How am I going to get all of this done?!”

Wedding planning can undoubtedly be a stressful experience, fraught with decisions to be made and details to be coordinated. From selecting the venue and choosing the menu to deciding on floral arrangements and seating charts, the process can be overwhelming. However, amidst the chaos and pressure, there is an intimacy in navigating this journey with your partner. Collaborating on such significant decisions not only strengthens the bond between the two of you, but also fosters a deep sense of unity and shared purpose as you prepare to embark on a new chapter of your lives together.

DEEP BREATHS! My goal for you is to help you enjoy this process, and at the end of the day, even with mistakes, you’ll be married to your person!

Here is a welcome guide to help you through the steps of working with me. A few questions you may consider as your day gets closer:

-how much time should we save for the first look?
-do we want imagery of us getting ready?
-how will we organize family photos of all our aunts, uncles, and cousins?

After photographing over 125 weddings, I have seen a lot, and over the next few months, we will have video calls and check-ins to make sure you feel ahead of schedule!

Before the Ceremony

Close your eyes and imagine the morning of your big day. There is a hair and makeup artist there to doll you up, and as your photographer I’ll be there to capture the magic that is being created.

Helpful Tips:

-keep your things nice and tidy, and remind your family and friends to do the same. this will keep your stress levels down, and everyone calm [plus it will help in saving time for creating beautiful portraits without the clutter in the background]

-have your most special details ready for me. I will capture and photograph your jewelry, shoes, maybe grandmother’s ring, or a special tiara

-have a room ready with plenty of light. this helps not only the makeup artist, but me as your photographer to carefully plan for your prep space

-choose music to set the mood! this may not seem like a huge deal, but having your favorite tunes playing in the background can keep you focused on the moment, and not the nerves

Bridal Party Photos

Whether the wedding party includes a lot of friends, or is just the two of you, one way to guide these photos into feeling raw and natural is to choose a memorable location to you, or even a favorite bar you frequently visit. This allows you to feel comfortable and rather than worrying about cheesing and posing, you can be yourself while I capture the present moment.

First Look

Choosing to see your partner before you walk down the isle, or waiting until that moment is completely up to you! It has become very popular to do a First Look, but they both have their advantages. Seeing each other before the isle can offer a more intimate experience, and if you are both nervous, it can certainly ease the nerves.

What are you most excited about? We can create any kind of situation you dream up. There are things we can discuss before your big day to help you make that decision, but one of the biggest reasons I highly recommend choosing a First Look are to get most of the family pictures out of the way before the ceremony so the two of you can enjoy more time with your guests after you officially tie the knot!

Golden Hour

The ceremony is finished, and you TIED THE KNOT! You married your person, and your guests are excited and ready to congratulate you. This is usually the time that we will finish family photos, but I also like to sneak you away for a few shots. The light is usually just what we want at this point in the evening, so we will make it quick so you can get back to the party!

Newlyweds

Your day is just that…Yours! There is no right or wrong way to layout your ceremony, and know that the best weddings are left with little intervention, letting them flow as they are meant to. You will get a sneak peak from me within the first week to hold you over ;) And from there, your full gallery will be delivered in four to six weeks, closer to the six week end if you choose to add video. I am honored to be a part of the biggest day of the rest of your lives, and will be your creative director and partner.
